What is it about?

Facilitating Change aims to provide the tools for a facilitated organisational change towards a more agile and lean organisation culture. Simple diagrams and boundary objects will be the means used in facilitating conversations and clarifying objectives.
The course also demonstrates through the exercises what are the so-called meta skills required in contemporary leadership and change agency.

Even before the pandemic most organisations had huge pressure to change and adapt their organisation cultures. Often the change is driven by keywords such as agile, design thinking, and lean. How do all these fit together? And how to facilitate and lead change in the age of autonomous teams and experts?

Why join us?

A great learning experience

"I liked Risto and Jari’s energy the most when they don’t beat around the bush but get straight to the point. It’s much more refreshing and interesting that way with reading materials and lectures to support the learning experience."

Lifelong learning

“Timing, Corona hit and the topic was to the point at the right time. I also liked that it was free and targeted to lifelong learning, not only to students. Topic relates to what is important to me in worklife and in creating new business. The course strengthened my view that I am on the right path. It was nicely executed online in general.

Sharing and comparing with others

“The balance of lectures and breakout rooms. The assignments with random peers were great! They provided deeper understanding and great cases from other companies! The hands-on tools (onion, DUMB etc.) are easy enough to understand and simple enough to use - and their leverage power is huge!”

It helped me with my own project

“Great course - I loved the tools and your own cases. The course was well-organized and the assignments supported me to utilize the learnings in my own work - the documentation by or together with my peer helped me understand things from own project that I hadn't thought about earlier. I would need this kind of facilitation with unfamiliar people more often!”

It empowered me in my work!

“The remote teaching was a success - I would have missed this altogether if this would have been "classical" lecture series. The exercises/pair work with different people: I got so much support and ideas to my own work as a change agent. The course empowered me in my work!”

International course

“This was a nice experience, online implementation made it possible for a wide range of people from all over the world to participate which was interesting as well. Thank you for this course and content during our otherwise strange Corona springtime.”

Interesting, relaxing, professionally led course

“You created an easy relaxed spirit and atmosphere. A person like me attending a course after a long stressful work of constant sprints running hectic work truly appreciates your clear and easy-to-follow slides and your well-articulated English (lovely clear "Finglish") with a touch of humour here and there. I really appreciate your relaxed and yet professional way to conduct the course. It is a big effort to make yourself join the course every week after the full day of work. If this had been a must-attend F2F-course in a lecture room, I would not have attended.  Therefore will miss this MOOC! Thanks a lot for organizing it.”
