Handbook for Change Agents

This online handbook is based on the popular Facilitating Change university course (TU-E3170), held each spring at Aalto University. It is a blend of hands-on practice and academic theory covering the topics of change leadership, organizational transformation and organization design.

The material in this handbook consists of short lecture videos, supported by readings and example exercises from the last year’s course.

The corona pandemic forced to give this course online in Spring 2020.  We were overwhelmed by the outside interest of this course: 300+ students & professionals took the course. Now we are making the content of the course available for anyone via this handbook.

Even before the pandemic most organisations had huge pressure to change and adapt their organisation cultures. Often the change is driven by keywords such as agile, design thinking, and lean. How do all these fit together? And how to facilitate and lead change in the age of autonomous teams and experts?

To Whom?

This course is aimed for professionals interested in improving their leadership & facilitating skills or are looking for new tools for facilitating change in an organisation. The material is split into chapters so it can be enjoyed in short sessions, and exercises can be done alone or with a pair.

Sounds interesting?

“Facilitating Change is an effective blend of  hands-on practice and academic theory for anyone interested in change leadership, organizational transform, organization design and becoming a change agent.”
